Gaze of gold.
Eyes on you
Eyes on me
Unto another …
we long to be.
birth the stars.
We’ve come so far …
All life is an expression of light. All light is a facilitation of love. That’s something I am firmly reminded of having assisted in a 5-day training my masters Carl Buchheit (Marin NLP) and Carla Camou (NLP Seattle) brought to Australia. In a single space, we had close to 20 souls, for their reasons (both known and unknown)–come to learn the special art of facilitating change in self, other-selves and Life itself.
Many races, many faces, and many lives with stories of their own. Sitting as they unfold their learning, sharing more and more about how it is they got to be where they are, I couldn’t help but have my heart open. Loss. Triumph. Terror. Courage. Abandonment. Strength. Laughter. Tears. Feeling beyond just the flesh and bone, I am reminded of the truth of a human being …
We are all doing the best we can with the information we have.
It reminded me of a profound learning my friend Amando told me while I was staying in his house in San Diego, California. It went something like this, “Y’know Jon … let me tell you something I’ve come to realize.” He pauses. And so I ask, “What is that Armando?” He responds, “Grace does not discriminate brother. It’s like sunshine. It falls on everybody.”
It is moments like this, that stay as moments. Pausing time, and giving space for the message to come through. Now, Armando isn’t some spiritual teacher or guru who one might find in the Aztec ruins of Mexico. Nor in the himalayas meditating in an ashram. But he is a learn-ed man. One who has lived. One who, in the simplicity of his decades of everyday life, holds incredible wisdom.
I believe the common man holds incredible gifts for all of us to learn. When we pay attention. When we allow them space to shed their layers and reveal their light. Beyond the sensory presentation of men (and women), what shines, is a clear demonstration that we are all unto each other, the same.
This reminder re-invigorates an insatiable hunger and curiosity in me. And it agitates. Because I thought I’d settle in my home-office here in Sydney Australia. But with every life I connect with, I am more and more compelled to physically set foot across the many continents of the world to share what I have. To facilitate change, in person and through words, to do justice to the weight of humanity with the words of my pen. And of course, more importantly, to record my life of learnings through my journey of communications mastery.
This week marks the breaking of another threshold in my journey of being human. Thank you for those who have joined me to date. And I delight at the many to come.
